|On Friday, Cbonds awarded the winners nominated for Cbonds Awards – 2019. The awarding ceremony was traditionally held on the 6th of December at a gala dinner on the occasion of closing the 17th Russian Bond Congress in St. Petersburg. This year, awards were given in 19 nominations.|
First place for the Best Bond Market Research Team was taken by VTB Capital. Gazprombank won second place, and third prize was awarded to the BCS Global Markets analytical team.
Gazprombank’s employees again became the Best Bond Market Sales Team. The same as last year, the VTB Capital’s team took second prize, and the Sovcombank’s team got third place.
Gazprombank was recognized as the Best Arranger for Tier I Issuers, second place was awarded by the participants of the survey to Sberbank CIB, while BC REGION got third place.
Sovcombank became the winner in the Best Arranger for Tier II and III Issuers nomination. BCS Global Markets got silver, and Alfa Bank won bronze.
The winner in the Best Russian Investment Bank in the Eurobonds Market nomination was VTB Capital for the third year in a row, followed by Gazprombank and Sberbank CIB.
Sovcombank became the Best Arranger for Subfederal/Municipal Bonds, Sberbank CIB took the second place, and VTB Capital got bronze this year.
According to market participants, the most outstanding results in the Best Arranger for the Financial Institutions in 2019 were represented by two teams at once: Sberbank CIB and VTB Capital, the second in this category was BC REGION, and the third was Sovcombank.
Gazprombank became the best one in Best Arranger for the Non-Financial Sector, VTB Capital took second place, and Moscow Credit Bank got third prize.
The Best Arranger for High-Yield Deals: BCS Global Markets took first place, second place was awarded to Solid IFC, and third one to Alfa Bank.
The Best Institutional Investor in the Bond Market was once again TFG Management Company.
The Best Legal Advisor in the Bond Market were LECAP, Clifford Chance, and Liniya Prava.
AFK Sistema was recognized by the market as the issuer of the year.
The voters considered the issue of RUSAL BRATSK series БO-001Р-01 for 15 billion rubles as one of the most interesting transactions for the Best Primary Corporate Bond Deal. The organizers of the placement were Gazprombank, VTB Capital, Moscow Credit Bank, Otkritie Bank, BC REGION, BCS Global Markets.
The best among The Best Primary Subfederal/Municipal Bond Deal became the issue of the Moscow Region of the 34012 series for 25 billion rubles, which was organized by VTB Capital, Gazprombank, Sberbank CIB, and Sovcombank.
In the nomination for the Best Primary Eurobond Deal, the market voted for Russian Railways, 2.2% 23may2027, EUR for 500 million euros. This transaction was organized by JP Morgan, UniCredit, and VTB Capital.
In the new nomination - The Best Foreign Issuer Deal in the Russian Bond Market - the placement of the Republic of Belarus of 03.04 series totaling 10 billion rubles was recognized as the most successful. The arrangers were Gazprombank, Sovcombank and Otkritie Bank, with EABR as the co-organizer.
The LEGENDA INTELLIGENT DEVELOPMENT company was considered the Best IR in the Russian Bond Market.
