Ukrainian eurobonds have reached their historical maximum

Ukrainian bond quotations on Frankfurt Exchange on Thursday have reached new historical maximum: 103,2% of par value in Euro, 106% of par value in USD.



Preceding 1 percent point lower maximum was reached last summer, however due to the political crisis the bonds quotes fell below 95% in Euro and below 100% in USD.



As “Alfa Bank (Ukraine)” points out the eurobonds yield is nowadays on the all-time low level – about 8,4% p.a. “We do not expect considerable changes in the bond quotes regarding macro-economic situation in Ukraine,” – bank experts believe.



According to the “Alfa Bank (Ukraine)” experts, Ukrainian government could borrow more taking advantage from favourable market conditions. The expected bonds yield would be below 9% p.a.
