Ukrainian state debt down 0.1% in Jan-Nov

Ukraine's direct and guaranteed state debt fell 0.1%, or by $16 million, to $15.459 billion in January-November 2006, according to a statement on the Ukrainian Finance Ministry's website.

Ukraine's state debt grew 7%, or by $1.017 billion, in November 2006. In hryvni equivalent, the direct and guaranteed state debt grew by 5.136 billion hryvni to $78.066 billion hryvni.

Ukraine's direct and guaranteed state debt amounted to $12.119 billion on December 1, or 78.39% of the total state debt. The internal direct and guaranteed state debt stood at $3.34 billion.

Ukraine's direct state debt stood at $12.535 billion, including $9.195 billion in direct foreign debt (up 5.6%) and $3.34 billion in direct domestic debt (down 12.1%).

Guaranteed debt fell 1.6% to $2.924 billion during the eleven months. Nearly all of this was guaranteed external debt.
