Ukrainian inflation to be 11%-12% in 2007

January 18, 2007 | Interfax

Ukrainian President Viktor Yushchenko said that Ukrainian inflation will be 11%-12% in 2007, the government said in a press release.

Forecast inflation of 7% in 2007 "is far from reality," the release cites Yushchenko as saying.

Experts calculate that inflation will be 11%-12% in 2007 considering a growth in energy and utility prices, he said.

Agreement was reached at the end of last year that the parliament and government would review the macroeconomic figures put into the 2007 budget, Yushchenko said.
