With the carnage in global markets, the sovereign could hardly avoid punishment despite there being not too many sellers, closing 1-1.5pt lower across the curve. Quasi-sovereign banks also traded down in small volume, and it looked like the weakness was somewhat offset by valuations (with the yield on OSCHAD 23s pushing towards 14%). Corporates were generally quiet with MHPSA closing 0.75pt lower.
